First steps

Hi everyone and welcome to my build blog of my 1983 Jeep J10, known to the rest of the world as a CJ10. It is a diesel model with a Nissan SD33 motor and a 4 speed manual gearbox. It is in reasonably good condition with limited rust on the body and the tray is in very good condition. Although there are a few modifications so it is not original, such as a custom dash and overhead shelf. Right now small repairs are being made to pass a road worthy inspection needed to transfer registration so it can be driven on the road and insured. Due to sourcing of parts this work will be slow, but modifications cannot proceed until this has been done. The list of required parts is below:
Right hand tail light
Hand brake cable
Front pinion seal
Right hand top ball joint
Left hand front wheel bearing
Front shackle bushes
Power steering seals
Speedometer cable

Thankfully many of the parts are shared with other vehicles and can easily and cheaply be sourced, as well as some being provided by the previous owner. However some parts are becoming challenging to find like the hand brake cable and may have to be adapted from another vehicle or custom made. Will keep this blog updated as work progresses.
Thanks for reading.
